Mathilde was watching my mom decorate the Christmas tree last week.  She was sitting so still, I finally got a picture of her where she was NOT in someone's lap.

On a sidenote, the guy who plays santa every year owns and rescues doxies and all proceeds from the pics went to local animal shelters. I thought it was really cool when i found out he did that.

Today, my 12-pound dachshund ate about 4 ounces of milk chocolate Hershey's kisses. It happened sometime between 3 am and 9 am this morning, and my parents took her to the emergency vet around 11 so she could get her stomach pumped and the vet could induce vomiting. I am terrified that she ate so much of it (and that she didn't make it to the vet in time for him to get it all out) that she now has toxic levels of theobromine. She hasn't shown any signs of poisoning, but I hear that it can take up to 24 hours to show up.

Has anyone else experienced their dog eating a lot of chocolate? If so, what happened?
